Games you can play with one hand on a crowded train

Most of my phone gaming happens standing up, holding a rail with one hand. That rules out a lot of games and quietly promotes the ones that work with a single thumb.

The trick when picking a commute game is checking where the controls sit. If the important buttons hug the bottom edge, you're set. If they're scattered across the screen, save it for the couch.
